Dont Forget the Cannolis Godfather

"Leave the Gun. Take the Cannoli"

This is one of the most iconic lines in modern cinema history, that was delivered by
Italian-American actor (from Jersey) Richard Castellano, in Francis Ford Coppola's
The GODFATHER, based on the novel The Godfather by Mario Puzo.

In the picture above, we find Pete Clemenza leaving Luna Restaurant on Mulberry Street in
Little Italy, New York. Clemenza's is leaving the restaurant, after having lunch there, and as his wife had told him "Don't forget the Cannolis," Pete did not, and we see him here with the box of Cannolis to bring home to his wife.

Clemenza's wife to Clemenza :  "Don't forget the Cannoli"

As Clemenza and Rocco are in the car with Paulie driving.

Clemenza tells Paulie :  "Hey Paulie. Pull over here, I gotta take a leak."

Clemenza relieves himself as Rocco shoot sPaulie

Frankie Pantangeli The Godfather

Michael Gazzo

As Frankie Pantangeli

The GODFATHER

The GODFATHER Part II

Frank Pentangeli is a fictional character from the 1974 film The Godfather Part II, portrayed by Michael V. Gazzo. Gazzo was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance, which he lost to Robert De Niro, his co-star from the same film (as young Vito Corleone). He is nicknamed "Frankie Five Angels" from his last name, which is formed from the Greek-derived prefix penta- (meaning "five") and the Italian word angeli ("Angels").

Noel Quotes lines from Francis Ford Coppola's

The GODFATHER

This is my brother-in-law Noel quoting lines from
The Godfather, and making some quite funny Satirical Humor.

He delivers some lines from the movie, but in a very funny way
as opposed to the seriousness drama of the film.

I was having a nice Sunday afternoon lunch with my sister Barbara and
brother-in-law Noel (he's a Comedian). We had a memorable lunch at the old Rocco's Restauarant on Thompson Street in Greenwich Village, which sadly closed a few years ago, and now the restaurant Carbone is in the former Rocco's space, and using the old Rocco's neon sigb with Carbone superimposed over where it used to say Rocco's.

Rocco's was a typical old-school Italian restaurant of Greenwich Village, known as
a "Red Sauce Joint." The restaurant was beloved by Italian-American's in the neighborhood, and there was quite an uproar when the people of Rocco's (after 70 years in business) were pushed out by the landlord for the higher rent paying tenants of the Major Food Group to make way for the restaurant Carbone owned by; Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff  Zalaznick who had a successful run with their first two restaurants Torrisi Speciality Foods and Parm.

It's very funny, "Watch It" !!!

Il FORNAIO

LITTLE ITALY

NEW YORK NY

I think Il FORNAIO opened around 1985 or so, cant't quite remember exactly. Back then,
Little Italy stille had good restaurants like : Benito I and Benito II, Angelo's, Umberto's Clam House
where Crazy Joe Gallo was "Whacked" and Taoramina where one night I was eating with my then girlfriend Riki, when apparently John Gotti and his Crew were eating because as I was eating some
Braciole, I looked up and saw right in front of me John Gotti and his boys walking out of the back room and out of the restaurant and on to Mulberry Street and across the street to The Ravenite Social Club
at 247 Mulberry Street in New York's Little Italy, then still partially an Italian Neighborhood (not anymore). This was not the first time that I'd be eating in an Italian Restaurant in Little Italy and I'd be eating there the same time as one
of the Worlds most notorious Mob Bosses John Gotti and his brother Peter Gotti and Sammy "The Bull Gravano" were having dinner at the restaurants as well.

No the first time I encountered "The Teflon Don" John Gotti eating at the same same restaurant and at the same time I was having dinner was a about 2 years before at my favorite
place to eat Spaghetti and Meatballs, at Il Fornaio on Mulberry Street.
